LENTEN VIGIL ‘09
Holy Darkness, Blessed Night
4 - 5 April 2009
Dear friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Lent is upon us and the time has come for
us to renew and re-energize our spiritual
life. You are warmly welcome to attend this
year’s OLPS Lenten Vigil 2009!
Titled “Holy Darkness, Blessed Night”,
we will come together as ONE big parish to
reflect on the ENTIRE meaning of our faith.
We will see how we are initially like ‘dry
bones’ revived by none other than Jesus,
the giver of life, who said in John 4:14,
“whoever drinks the water that I will
give him will never become thirsty again.
The water that I will give him will become
a well of water for him, springing up to eternal
life.”
It will be an awesome time with God. We will
reflect and experience the events of our salvation
from the Passover to the Last Supper and from
Gethsemane to Golgotha. Our vigil will end
with the Palm Sunday Mass at the break of
down. Of course, a hearty breakfast will be
served thereafter.
Make this Lent a meaningful season of renewal
and growth, spend the night staying awake
with the Lord! The programme for our Vigil
is meant for peoples of all ages, from 13
– 103! Bring your loved ones, your children,
your parents, your friends, and let’s
pray and worship the Lord together!
RSVP is encouraged!
If you are coming, please kindly register
at the booths at the OLPS FOYER over the weekends
of March 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29!
