Post Confirmation Camp
"YOU ARE LOVED" Hi all,
a big thank you to the Post Confirmation
Ministry for a wonderful camp over 9-11
Dec! ;) During the camp, we reflected on
our lives - do we have life-giving water
to quench the thirst of our world? We learnt
how we need to open our lives to God (remove
the bottlecap!) and to always seek the source
of life-giving water - Jesus!! So, keep
up the good fight of faith! Let's become
life-giving water to those around us!

2nd Asia Oceania CCR Leaders Conference
at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia: Members
of YAM (Youth Arise Ministry) attended this
conference at Star City Conference Event
Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia.
It is organised by the ICCRS Sub-Committee
for Asia-Oceania (ISAO) and Hosted by the
Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu.
What is ICCRS?
It stands for International Catholic
Charismatic Renewal Service.The Vatican
has recognised International Catholic Charismatic
Renewal Services (ICCRS) as a body for the
promotion of Catholic Charismatic Renewal
with a juridical personality according to
Canon 116 and approved the Statutes of ICCRS.
The ICCRS Office is situated in Palazzo
San Calisto, Vatican. Michelle Moran (England)
is the President of ICCRS Council and Cyril
John (India) is its Vice-President. For

Youth Nite October: Movie screening "YES
MAN!" This October,
we watched the movie "Yes Man",
followed by sharings from ministry members.
We had good sharings about how we said "yes"
to major things in our lives and how we
made our decisions and lived by it.
As this is also the month of "Mary"
and Rosary, we also can reflect on Mary's
YES to God, and how God invites us daily
to say "YES" to live out our Christian
lives. There are so many opportunities to
say "YES" to God... such as His
commandment to Love God and secondly to
Love others as He loves us. So we can reflect
on how we say "YES" to GOD's love
and God's Call to be disciples and to spread
the Good News!

EAST DISTRICT Youth Day: Held once
in 2 years, the East District Celebrates
a joint youth day in a collaborative effort
between all youth ministries in the East
District Catholic Churches in Singapore.
Initiated by Catholic Archdiocesan Youth
Centre (CAYC) in 2009, we started with EDYD
2009 in the CHIJ Katong Primary School titled
"Spera in Deo".
After that we organised a few more collaborative
talks with the other youth ministries, titled
"Fat Fish Friday"
(May 2010) and then "Pleasure"
(held in January 2011 this year).
This round, we joined our efforts again
in a large-scale East District Youth event.
And we are going back to basics - to the
roots of our faith - The MASS!Boring? Not
at all.We invite you to join us in this
exciting endeavor to enliven our faith and
find back our roots and become stronger
catholic youths for our own growth and our
future ahead!

at OLPS during Holy Thursday 21 April at
8:00 - 8:30pm! Join us at the Choir LOFT
at 8:00pm and rehearsal is at 7:15pm at
the Music Room. Thank you, all who have

I, BELOVED: Youth Nite (March)
Martin Fernandez from SACCRE (Singapore
Archdiocese Catholic Charismatic Renewal),
gave us a talk at the March Youth Nite,
after a worship session. This was followed
by a time of praying over, led by members
from Youth Arise Ministry. The event was
also supported by members from YMM (Youth
Music Ministry) and Post Confirmation Ministry!
To end off this nite, we had cheese-macaroni
cooked by wonderful supporter, Aimai. We
loved the delicious Macaroni!!!! We hope
everyone had a fantastic time during worship,
prayer and fellowship! May you continue
to discover our LORD in more ways than one
during this season of Lent towards Easter!

Youth Outing Retro Games
Catholeague's big day out with
games going retro! A day of fun. We played
lots of indoor games (including a fair bit
of modern ones) that ran from Taboo, Ugly-Ugly-Ugly,
Saboteur, Munchkin, Blokus, Zero-Point,
Chaptek, Wrestling (yes), and English &
Chinese Chess, and other card games, mahjong
included. It was fun indeed! and not really
really "retro" after all. hahaha!
This was followed by a BBQ, more games,
and a time of P&W!

Our monthly
OLPS Youth Ministries' gathering & fellowship
nite that includes everything from fellowship,
food to prayer. It's always different every
month!
Thanks all for coming! We had a good time
with lotsa good food, spaghetti, beehoon,
tidbits, watched the movie "FIREPROOF"
which really showed us what it means to
love each other within a marriage. Not easy
but with God, all things are possible.
Then we played games "Ugly Ugly Ugly",
"No Mercy", Chess, Futsal, Blokus,
etc! We were joined by Brother Samuel, who's
now attached to our parish. At the end fo
the day, Fr Adrian popped by too... We also
saw many new faces such as Angela, Adeline,
PJ and many old faces as well, like Kenji!
Great to see u all! Praise God for the wonderful
fellowship!

firstly our dear Marcus from the newest
Post Confirmation Ministry is leaving for
studies to Brisbane, Australia, after his
very wonderful effort over almost the entire
2010 planning for the setup of this new
ministry. Marcus you have been so dear to
us, we really thank you and miss you from
the bottom of our hearts! Keep in touch!
New plans ahead include:
-
Doing up our Youth Notice Board, Youth Tee,
Video and Posters!
- Continuing with Monthly Youth NITES! THis
will be different every month! We start
with Movie & Games this FEBRUARY. There
will be times for parties as well as prayer!

- Youth Retreat in June!
- East District Youth Day 2011 in September!
- Cleaning our youth room regularly! etc

Youth Event
We thank our speakers David Cheong, Longinus
Dismus (Apostolate for Catholic Truth, ACT)
and Sister Jennifer (Canossian sisters)
for their lively engaging banter, and all
participants who came!
We learnt a lot on how to view PLEASURE.
The pleasures of the smallest things in
our daily lives, can actually lead to holiness
and God. We can find pleasure even in our
studies.. even in things we did not like
before - and amazingly that can bring out
holiness in us! But negative use of pleasure
lead us to crave for more and in the process,
we harm ourselves, others, and move away
from God.
